MENTORING SERVICES CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

Last Updated:September 2026

By checking the box next to "I accept the Terms and Conditions," you ("the Client" or "Mentee") agree to be legally bound by this Confidentiality Agreement with Global Grandmas.

Both parties agree to enter a mentoring relationship in which sensitive personal, professional, or business information may be shared under the following terms:

1. Purpose of the Agreement

The purpose of this Agreement is to establish clear confidentiality boundaries so that both the Mentor and the Client can engage in mentoring sessions with complete trust, openness, and psychological safety.

2. Definition of Confidential Information

“Confidential Information” includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal experiences, challenges, or wellbeing matters.

  • Business strategies, financial information, and intellectual property.

  • Career concerns, workplace issues, or interpersonal conflicts.

  • Any information shared verbally, in writing, or through digital communication channels.

Exclusion: Confidential Information does not include information that is already publicly known or independently obtained without a breach of this Agreement.

3. Confidentiality Obligations

Both parties agree to the following strict privacy terms:

  • Mutual Non-Disclosure: What is discussed during sessions stays between the parties. Neither party will disclose session content to any third party without explicit prior written consent from the other.

  • Association and Group Privacy: Neither party will mention the other's identity as a mentor or mentee in shared groups or communities outside of the core mentoring relationship, unless a separate agreement on the use of names has been mutually reached.

  • Public and Social Media: No identifiable information about either party, nor any specifics of the mentoring sessions, will be shared publicly or on social media platforms.

  • No Digital Recording: No Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other digital mentoring sessions may be audio or video recorded by either party.

  • Session Notes: Any notes taken during sessions are strictly for personal use and reflection, and will not be shared with outside parties.

4. Exceptions to Confidentiality

Confidentiality may be broken only under the following limited, legal circumstances:

  • Risk of Harm: If information shared indicates a significant, imminent risk of harm to the Client or others, the Mentor reserves the right to disclose this information to an appropriate healthcare professional, emergency service, or relevant authority.

  • Legal and Safeguarding Obligations: If disclosure is required by UK law, court order, or formal organisational safeguarding policies.

  • Third-Party Involvement: If shared information directly concerns a third party, their explicit consent must be obtained before that information can be legally shared.

5. Professional Boundaries

  • The mentoring relationship is professional and development-focused. It does not constitute therapy, counselling, mental health medical intervention, or formal performance management.

  • The Mentor will uphold professional conduct and privacy standards relevant to their professional field.

  • The Client remains solely responsible for their own choices, decisions, actions, and any business or personal outcomes resulting from the mentoring sessions.

6. Data Protection and UK GDPR

  • Both parties agree to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

  • Any digital records, contact information, or intake forms collected during checkout or sessions will be stored securely and accessed exclusively by the Mentor in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Duration and Termination

  • Indefinite Obligation: The obligations of confidentiality set forth in this Agreement continue indefinitely, remaining in full force even after the mentoring relationship officially ends.

  • Termination: Either party may terminate the mentoring relationship at any time. All confidentiality restrictions remain legally binding post-termination.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.
