Gathering Together,
Flourishing Forward
Join me as I share about real life experiences
Hello and welcome to Global Grandmas — I’m an expat of 50 years, a trained chaplain, and a proud grandparent with grandchildren in England and Italy.
I bring a background in social policy and international service, including a master’s degree from the University of Southampton, a Peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica, and I’ve been shaped by the loving example of my parents, who did their grand-parenting from South Korea.
I’d love to connect, share stories, and support other grandparents around the world.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Do I need to be a Christian to be mentored?
A: No. You do not need to be a Christian to receive mentoring. However, you should understand that the mentor is a Christian and will work according to Christian Biblical values (for example, observing Sabbath rest). Those values will shape the mentoring approach and expectations.
Q: What kinds of goals is this mentoring suited for?
A: This mentoring aligns with the Slow Growth Movement. It is intended for people who want to grow their work or business steadily and thoughtfully, seeking to follow what they believe God is calling them to do and how He would have them serve. It is not designed for rapid, high-income ramp-ups (for example, achieving a six-figure salary in six months).
Q: What is the duration of the mentoring agreement?
A: The mentoring relationship is structured as a one-year working agreement.
Q: How often will we meet?
A: Mentoring sessions take place twice monthly on Zoom.
Q: When is payment due?
A: Payment is due after we have a written working agreement in place and before the first mentoring session begins.
Q: Is this a personal or business mentoring relationship?
A: While Global Grandmas (GG) fosters spiritual, mentor-like relationships rather than biological ones, many mentees consider their “baby” to be a business. The mentoring can support both personal and business growth within that spiritual, service-oriented framework.

One of the beautiful things about Kathleen is she is not just wise, but has a loving, knowing wisdom... she's down to earth and can relate so well because she chooses to live among us- and not hide behind an academic world of unreliability. She actually gets it and lovingly gives out her wisdom to help us get it too.
